As you can see, 3 of the territories where we see massive traffic do not make it onto the top 5 countries for payment. Expect this to change over time as these huge markets develop and we unveil on-bill payment in territories like South Africa. The great news is that Bango enables you to sell globally. Many content providers see a third of their sales coming from overseas buyers. So stimulate global sales by driving traffic from your website to your mobile site, by getting listed in the mobile search engines, or by running a targeted campaign in the territory of your choice.
Important marketing opt-in news - act before Monday 10th March!If you rely on the post-payment marketing opt-in page to collect marketing information then you need to act this week. As a Bango customer you already benefit from the new Payforit v1.3 scheme rules. As part of these rules it is no longer mandatory to display the marketing opt-in page to your users after they have made a payment. So we are changing our flow so that this extra page will NOT be displayed by default. This will keep the payment flow clean and speed things up for your customers. If you want this page displayed you will need to explicitly tell us before Monday 10th March. Find out how on our blog. Improved customer account managementOur drive to constantly improve the end user experience continues this week with the launch of a revamped 'My account' area on Bango.net. Currently your customers visit the 'My Options' area to manage their account, subscriptions, view their user ID and find other information that can help you deal with their support queries. This area will be renamed 'My account' and will benefit from improved navigation, layout and functionality. Read more about the upgrade, see some preview screenshots, and familiarise yourself with the tools your customers will be using.
