Customer Update 11 August 2008

Why you should do site analysis?

Analysing you site with our page tracking is an ideal way to get to know your customers and build relationships, without any effort from them and very little from you!

But to get the most from page tracking, you should ensure you capture information from every page of your site - not just your landing page. Make sure you uniquely name each of the pages you are tracking and pass this name in via the "ref" parameter.

To stop browsers caching your tracking code and therefore only counting a customer visit the first time the page is viewed, make sure that the page tracking URL has a unique random value attached.

The example below shows the use of the ref parameter and a unique random value created using the date and time.
