Drive traffic to your site with
200 FREE advertising clicks
Bango is delighted to announce an exciting new opportunity with a great new service - AdMob. AdMob is specially designed to drive traffic to mobile internet sites and we strongly recommend you give them a try.
As an incentive, AdMob is giving you $20 towards your first campaign - that equates to 200 clicks or 4,000 impressions (see bullet 5 below). Use this money to create and run as many versions of your advertisement as you want - test different messages, prices and campaigns.
Using AdMob is simple
AdMob allows you to run text-only, pay-per-click advertising campaigns on other wap sites within the AdMob network. This means you're advertising to people already using the mobile internet - prime prospects for your products and services.
AdMob reaches a very wide range of consumers through their advertising network, so the sites delivered by advertising must be suitable for minors (U and G rating only). See http://admob.com/terms.php for more info.
But the great news for Bango customers is that AdMob can target your advertisement according to the users' handset make and capability. So if you sell MIDP 2.0 games, only people with compatible handsets will see your ads, which eliminates costly and confusing wastage.
AdMob works in 6 simple steps:
- Go to http://www.admob.com/register.php?bango and register. Simply provide an email and password and AdMob will automatically credit your account with $20.
- Go to the Ad Market http://www.admob.com/market.php and select the sites you want to advertise on. HINT: "Select All" gives the best results to start with, while you learn the ropes.
- Click on "Create your ad" and enter a title, write the text for your ad and specify a landing page.

Expand the "+" at the bottom of the page and you'll see all the different targeting options:
- Geography
- Handset make
- Handset capability
- Specify the price you want to pay for a click. 200 clicks assumes that you pay USD 0.10 per click. AdMob currently gets click-throughs of 5 – 8%, which means your ad will be seen by 2,500 - 4,000 people.
