Customer Update 28th July 2008

Important Bango News and Updates

Bango introduced the Customer Service Blog and Bango Community Forums last year to ensure you were kept fully informed about important news.

All news, information and system updates are communicated via the Blog and Forum and, when applicable, in the weekly customer update. There is an RSS feed as well as the ability to have the Blog notices sent to your mobile phone.

The Forums host a string of lively conversations and are a great way to get Bango and market related news.

Analytics Feedback

We have had excellent feedback about the latest version of Bango Analytics launched last week. The Bango developers are hard at work responding to your feedback and will continue to do so. We are excited to see how many pages are being actively tracked and to see the wide range of devices, operators, and countries that are being used.

You can see the traffic flowing through your site in the Analytics summary within the Management tools. If it still shows zero traffic that means that you have not added page tracking to your site, or you are not getting traffic. Click here for ideas on how to get traffic to your site.

Some site owners have realised that adding 'Google analytics' code to their sites has reduced traffic by more than 80%. This is because the java code added to pages, displays as a corrupt page on many phones. Be sure to remove such code from your site, or only embed it when you are sure that the device's browser will work correctly.

Bango Directory

Live bidding for the Bango Directory starts this week. Have a look at the Blog for more news and information.

Kind regards

Explanation of Sales figures

If you have permission to see the sales figures for your packages, these are shown above. Please note that these figures are total sales for your content. If you don't have any sales figures in the email, then the person who set up the Bango package has not given you permission to see this data.
