Make the most of Payforit

Payforit is the new payment service, supported by all licensed UK mobile operators, designed to make it easy to pay for low cost services on the mobile phone. Payforit compliance will soon start to become mandatory for mobile services wanting to use operator billing in the UK.

Please ensure that you comply with the Payforit customer care and pricing rules.

Customer Care details

Customer confidence is a key factor in the success of any service. No matter how big or small your service is, it is important that you provide a customer care channel for your users.

Bango provides a "back up" service, but you need to provide a primary customer care channel to ensure Payforit compliance.

We've made this even easier for you by providing a way for you to display your details to your customers in the Bango.net billing and help pages. You just need to log in to Bango.com and fill out your customer care details. These details will be provided to operator customer care teams.

You need to provide an email address and a phone number that is manned during UK working hours and which has an answering service otherwise.

This week we're also launching a new consumer focussed support site which will provide general help for your customers. In the following weeks we will enable users to review their transactions and self-serve at this PC site as well as on their mobile phone.

Pricing your content

The Payforit billing platform requires content only to be sold at the supported price points. If the pricing is not exact then on-bill will not be presented to the customer and alternative payment methods will be shown. We maintain an up to date list of all the supported price points here:

Please do check to make sure your content prices are supported so that you can benefit from Payforit billing.

Whenever you launch a new service, even within an existing package, be sure to let us know, so that updated information can be sent to the UK operators. Simply e-mail support@bango.com with the details of your new service.
