Content ratings - clear, controlled and correctBango puts you in control of how you rate and promote your content. You know your content better than anyone - that's why we give you the tools to self-classify your content. But it's important to get it right. It's about providing information - accurate information - so your customers can make informed choices about what they access on their mobile phones. Bango use three levels of content classification: U (Universal), R (Restricted) and G (General Universal). Only content that is suitable for general consumption, including children, should be given a U or G rating. By setting a U or G-rating you are telling customers that your content is safe for minors and contains no material that people may find offensive. That means no adult content - even thumbnails - should be visible. If you can't say this about your content - give it an R-rating. Here's a reminder of what the content ratings mean:
NOTE: The rating standards above are non-exclusive, see the knowledgebase for full details. Remember - we don't like to take the "big brother" approach, but Bango will re-classify, or at worst block your billing service if you repeatedly and deliberately mis-label your content. Getting it right not only ensures the integrity of your content, but also helps your customers to make valid choices about the type of content they view or listen to. Further information and guidelines for all the content classifications above can be found when you log in to the Bango knowledgebase. Regards The Marketing Team at Bango |
